Our Shipamax Data Science team seeks a highly skilledand motivated Machine Learning Engineer with 2+ years' ofexperience. This team sits within Wisetech’s Digital Documentportfolio and develops AI-based software to extract informationfrom documents, structuring critical logistics data that powers theseamless movement of goods worldwide. You would join a team ofexperienced data scientists and engineers passionate about solvingcomplex real-world problems in a friendly and stimulatingatmosphere. Job Overview As a Machine Learning Engineer, you willbring research into practice, developing new and improving existingmachine learning models, expanding our existing product offerings.You will work closely with our R&D and Product teams tosuccessfully integrate cutting-edge models into our commercialsoftware, delivering exceptional data extraction capabilities toour valued customers. This role would give you the opportunity towork with state-of-the-art machine learning models, such as LLMs,using real-world datasets and leveraging abundant real-worldunstructured data. You will also be involved in exciting projectslike developing data extraction for new logistic document types.Responsibilities Collaborate with R&D and Product to bridge thegap between research and practical implementation. Develop newproduction-ready machine learning models and improve existing ones.Deliver impressive data extraction software that meets and exceedscustomer expectations. Responsible for the quality and ongoingevaluation of our data sets on existing and new - ML models inpre-launch and in production. Requirements MSc in Computer Science,other STEM subjects, or comparable work experience. 2+ years ofworking experience in data science in a commercial environment.Good programming skills in Python. Experience in building andevaluating machine learning models. Experience with NaturalLanguage Processing (NLP) techniques. Experience working withreal-world datasets. Solid understanding of fundamental concepts ofdata science. Experience working with Numpy and PyTorch. Experienceworking with cloud environments is not essential, but it would bebeneficial.
