Meditech Data Engineer

Are you an experienced Data Engineer with strong healthcare data systems experience? We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our dynamic team to support a critical project involving the reconfiguration and optimisation of data pipelines for Meditech’s Magic and Expanse systems. Familiarity with Meditech MEDDR databases is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconfigure and test existing ITG Data Engineering data pipelines, stored procedures, and views to point to the new unified Magic/Expanse DR data source.
- Create and test new data pipelines, stored procedures, and views directly against the new Expanse DR databases.
- Test and optimise stored procedures developed by the EHR Reporting Workstream in the new unified Magic/Expanse DR environment.
- Investigate and resolve a high volume of data-related issues/incidents raised by Data Teams before and after the Expanse go-live.
- Provide backfill support for BAU (Business as Usual) incidents and service requests as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on healthcare data systems.
- Proficiency in data pipeline development and optimization.
- Extensive knowledge of SQL and experience with stored procedure creation and management.
- Experience in working with Magic and Expanse DR databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage and resolve high volumes of data-related issues efficiently.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional data and reporting teams.
- Ability to provide BAU support while managing project-related tasks.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Meditech MEDDR databases.
- Experience working within healthcare environments or with healthcare IT systems.
- Familiarity with Meditech EHR Reporting Workstreams
