We are looking for a Head of Pricing - Property (m/f/d) based in London or Munich.

Your Team

The Global Pricing team is part of the Chief Technical Office Function Its focus is on transforming pricing infrastructure across Allianz Commercial globally, driving innovation, and improving pricing capabilities.

This international team operates across key cities including London, Munich, Bucharest, Singapore, Chicago, and New York, offering a unique opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from diverse regions. The team plays a crucial role in shaping global pricing strategies, ensuring consistent, data-driven approaches to enhance profitability and competitiveness across markets.

The Impact You Will Have

As the Head of Pricing, you will play an important role in shaping the profitability of the Property business lines by leading strategic pricing initiatives. Your experience will directly influence underwriting decisions and portfolio management, driving sustainable growth across both mid and large corporate segments. By leveraging data analytics, predictive modeling, and machine learning, you will transform complex datasets into actionable insights that refine pricing strategies and optimize risk assessments. Collaborating closely with the Chief Pricing Officer and other senior leaders, you will ensure alignment of pricing strategies with business goals, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and innovation that will contribute to long-term success.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

  • Conduct in-depth profitability reviews of individual accounts or business segments, identifying areas of concern and proposing actionable portfolio changes.
  • Ensure results from profitability analyses are incorporated into technical pricing models.
  • Monitor and assess outcomes of steering activities following profitability reviews.
  • Develop and refine pricing tools through recalibrations and statistical pricing methodologies.
  • Build strong relationships with Underwriting and senior management to secure long-term support for technical pricing and tools.
  • Establish robust processes for pricing modeling and analysis.
  • Coordinate global, cross-team projects related to pricing and profitability.
  • Stay informed about global market developments and ensure loss trends are reflected in underwriting strategies.
  • Lead or contribute to projects impacting technical pricing, promoting its importance within Allianz Commercial.



What You'll Bring to the Role

  • Strong academic qualifications, ideally in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience in the industry. A qualified P&C Actuary is highly preferred.
  • Many years of post-qualification experience as a P&C Actuary, with deep expertise in handling international portfolios, especially in high-volatility segments and with complex data challenges.
  • In-depth knowledge of diverse insurance product portfolios.
  • Strong knowledge of Claims, Underwriting, Reinsurance, and Accounting practices, including international accounting rules for reserving.
  • Develop and implement data models and tools to support business needs, such as rate development and risk capital management.
  • Experience managing and developing global teams across multiple locations, with a strong track record of leading through change.
  • Strong strategic decision-maker involving stakeholders and making informed balanced decisions.
  • You speak fluent English. Additional Language is a plus.
