Our business is constantly growing, and you will play a key role in our digital transformation and transition to an insights-led organisation. Reporting to the Director of Strategy and Operations, the Head of Global Data & Insight will be responsible for executing and advancing Flora Food Group’s global insight and AI strategy through a centre of excellence, which will oversee both operational and strategic analytics and AI across the Flora Food Group. Utilising all areas of the Microsoft Fabric platform, we are looking for someone comfortable with both hands-on and strategic involvement, engaging across the entire business, from ExCo-level strategic reports to operational, day-to-day reports across all regions and geographies. This role is truly at the core of Flora Food Group. Main Responsibilities Strategic Thinking: Set out a strategic roadmap to continue advancing Flora Food Group from pure operational reporting, through insight reporting, and on to predictive and self-serve analytics. Leadership: Lead the analytics centre of excellence, manage the team delivering world-class Power BI / Fabric solutions across all Flora Food Group’s functional areas Drive AI adoption through the organisation, ensuring efficient, effective and secure solutions, including chairing the AI council. Leading AI developers both internally and externally, providing technical and commercial advice. Partner with stakeholder functions (e.g. Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing) to identify analytics gaps and opportunities to support their strategic decision-making process. Playing an active role in and leading requirements gathering workshop sessions with business owners Identify, create, support and optimize best-in-class Power BI and Fabric solutions. Work closely with IT colleagues to define the future roadmap for the data domain & then weave the delivery of these capabilities into the analytics capabilities Set global guidelines for a unified and consistent view of performance, identify key customer and business KPIs for reporting. Define and implement best practices, essential processes, remove barriers, and source data from all areas of the organisation in support of critical business challenges and/or decisions. Educate and train the business in the use of data and analytical capabilities. Help build organisational data literacy. So, what does it take to be successful in this role? You’re an expert in data, insights, and AI, passionate about solving problems and answering key strategic questions. You can see both the big picture and the finer details. As a proactive and strategic thinker, you’re adept at turning insights into actions that deliver strong commercial results. You’re a natural leader, enthusiastic about mentoring others and driving team success. Most importantly, you thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where your contributions directly shape the business. The ideal candidate will have: 8 years managing dispersed teams to deliver large analytics and AI projects 5 years of hands-on Power BI experience 3 years of hands-on AI project development or deployment Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with all levels of the business Expert understanding of Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and Power BI Significant experience building AI solutions, including deployment and monitoring A solid understanding of key business metrics and how these inform strategy across multiple functions (e.g. finance, e-commerce, supply chain) Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in an agile way on data projects With great stakeholder management skills, you enjoy being the brains behind the operations and understand a wide range of business functions. Meanwhile, you maintain a hands-on approach and are capable of translating business needs into usable solutions. You also have the ability to prioritise effectively to maximise value-add.
