Head of Data Engineering & Governance

Investment & Wealth Management

Hybrid (3 days at home with 2 days traveling in the UK)

£120k - £140k basic (DOE) + bonus (10-25%) and benefits (pension, life insurance, healthcare, holidays, & more).

This company – a trusted name in the UK financial services sector – fully recognises the importance of data and AI to stay at the forefront of the investment management industry.

Following a significant technology transformation investment, they are now focusing on transforming their data capabilities and harnessing its power.

As one of three new leaders in the Group Data function, you will shape the data strategy, lead teams, and implement data governance and architecture to support the company's strategic goals.

Your responsibilities will include developing data governance frameworks, designing data pipelines, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic insights to executive leadership.

The role offers a clear path to executive leadership, with mentorship from the current Director.

What you’ll add
You are a business leader with expertise in data engineering and governance, with experience in:

Aligning data initiatives with business goals and emerging trends

Leading and developing teams in complex environments

Communicating effectively with both technical and executive audiences

Proficiency with modern data platforms, especially Snowflake

Collaborative approach across organizational boundaries

The working environment
The company offers a flexible working policy, typically 3 days remote, with travel to London and Liverpool as needed.
