As part of our accelerated digital transformation and the implementation of our new Next Generation BI platform, we are looking for a Head of BI to lead our global Business Intelligence organisation. This key leadership role is aligned with our strategy – a modular, cloud-native data-centric architecture designed to democratise data access, strengthen governance, and maximise business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the global BI organisation across APAC, EMEA, and the AMERICAS, with direct accountability for strategy, governance, performance, and delivery.
  • Define, evolve and execute the global BI roadmap in line with our overall technology strategy and business imperatives.
  • Oversee the transition and integration from legacy BI platforms to the Next Generation BI ecosystem.
  • Ensure robust data governance, including a centralised data catalogue, data quality, compliance, and access management.
  • Manage global teams across Data Engineering, Reporting, Data Governance, and Advanced Analytics, fostering an agile, value-driven, and innovation-focused culture.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders (Data Owners, Product Owners, Business Leaders) to position data as a core strategic asset.
  • Oversee BI delivery KPIs, service performance and budgets, ensuring high quality of service and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Promote a data-driven culture through the adoption of self-service BI and automated reporting/dashboards.

Skills & Experience:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in Business Intelligence, with 5+ years in a BI leadership role in a global or matrixed organisation.
  • Proven expertise in modern BI architecture (Data Lake, EDW, Streaming, APIs, Real-Time & Batch Processing).
  • Demonstrated experience delivering cloud-based analytics platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, cataloguing, security, automation, and self-service analytics.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills across distributed and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and change management skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

The Head of BI will work within a modern, cloud-based BI ecosystem, including:

  • Data Integration: Fivetran, HVR, Databricks, Apache Kafka, Google BigQuery, Google Analytics 4
  • Data Lake & Storage: Databricks Delta Lake, Amazon S3
  • Data Transformation: dbt Cloud
  • Data Warehouse: Snowflake
  • Analytics & Reporting: Power BI, Excel, Snowflake SQL REST API
  • Advanced Analytics: Databricks (AI & Machine Learning)
  • Governance & Infrastructure: Centralised Data Catalogue & Access Control (Okta)
  • Job Scheduling & Monitoring (AWS, Splunk)
  • Agile Data Engineering with centralised code repositories
  • BI Data Portal: Power BI

However this coexists with a legacy tech stack, which the head of BI will support the transition to the new architecture already in place.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Certifications such as Azure Data Engineer, AWS Big Data, SAFe, or PMP are a plus.

Team:

  • 2-3 direct reports
  • 8-10 indirect reports

Travel Requirements:

Occasional international travel required.

Our progress will give you countless opportunities to move forward too. Seek out new challenges, and you’ll find them. Stretch your thinking, and you’ll find new ways to make an impact. And if you embrace the opportunity to drive your own growth, you could go further, and achieve more, than ever before.

Neurodiversity in Machine Learning Careers: Turning Different Thinking into a Superpower

Machine learning is about more than just models & metrics. It’s about spotting patterns others miss, asking better questions, challenging assumptions & building systems that work reliably in the real world. That makes it a natural home for many neurodivergent people. If you live with ADHD, autism or dyslexia, you may have been told your brain is “too distracted”, “too literal” or “too disorganised” for a technical career. In reality, many of the traits that can make school or traditional offices hard are exactly the traits that make for excellent ML engineers, applied scientists & MLOps specialists. This guide is written for neurodivergent ML job seekers in the UK. We’ll explore: What neurodiversity means in a machine learning context How ADHD, autism & dyslexia strengths map to ML roles Practical workplace adjustments you can ask for under UK law How to talk about neurodivergence in applications & interviews By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of where you might thrive in ML – & how to turn “different thinking” into a genuine career advantage.

Machine Learning Hiring Trends 2026: What to Watch Out For (For Job Seekers & Recruiters)

As we move into 2026, the machine learning jobs market in the UK is going through another big shift. Foundation models and generative AI are everywhere, companies are under pressure to show real ROI from AI, and cloud costs are being scrutinised like never before. Some organisations are slowing hiring or merging teams. Others are doubling down on machine learning, MLOps and AI platform engineering to stay competitive. The end result? Fewer fluffy “AI” roles, more focused machine learning roles with clear ownership and expectations. Whether you are a machine learning job seeker planning your next move, or a recruiter trying to build ML teams, understanding the key machine learning hiring trends for 2026 will help you stay ahead.

Machine Learning Recruitment Trends 2025 (UK): What Job Seekers Need To Know About Today’s Hiring Process
