In a world where artificial intelligence opens up new horizons, our faith in its potential unveils a new outlook where, together, humans and machines build a new future filled with knowledge, inspiration, and incredible discoveries. The development of a functional humanoid robot underpins an era of abundance and well-being where poverty will disappear, and people will be able to choose what they want to do. With the world’s workforce increasingly moving away from undesirable tasks, the manufacturing, construction, and logistics industries critical to our daily lives are left exposed. By deploying our general-purpose humanoid robots in environments deemed hazardous or monotonous, we envision a future where human well-being is safeguarded while closing the gaps in critical global labour needs. As the Head of Artificial Intelligence , you'll spearhead the development and implementation of AI/ML strategies for our robot humanoid project, ensuring alignment with company goals. You'll oversee the design and deployment of AI/ML algorithms for perception, decision-making, control, and autonomous driving, leveraging expertise in embodied AI, NLP, semantic SLAM, CNN/DNN, emotion/object recognition, and understanding of world model architectures. Your role involves defining research roadmaps, establishing data pipelines, and integrating AI/ML capabilities into our platform. Lead the design and development of AI/ML algorithms and models, focusing on enhancing various functionalities such as perception, decision-making, control, and autonomous driving within the robot humanoid project. Craft and execute a comprehensive roadmap for AI/ML research, development, and deployment, keeping abreast of technological advancements and industry trends to stay ahead of the curve. Establish robust data pipelines and infrastructure to support AI/ML workflows, encompassing everything from data collection and preprocessing to training and inference. Drive the seamless integration of AI/ML capabilities into our robot humanoid platform, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesion and efficiency. Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI/ML systems in real-world scenarios, continually iterating and optimizing to achieve optimal outcomes. Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the AI/ML team, staying updated with the latest advancements in technology and methodologies. Provide strategic direction for the AI/ML team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment conducive to achieving our objectives. Define and communicate a clear vision, goals, and priorities for AI/ML initiatives, ensuring alignment with the broader company strategy. Lead the recruitment, hiring, and development of top AI/ML talent, nurturing a high-performing team capable of delivering exceptional results. Foster partnerships with external research institutions, academia, and industry collaborators to leverage expertise and resources beneficial to our projects. Drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, and business teams to ensure that AI/ML initiatives meet both product requirements and market demands. Represent the company in AI/ML conferences, events, and industry forums, showcasing our technological advancements and thought leadership. Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards in AI/ML development and deployment, prioritizing transparency, fairness, and accountability. Interact with academic institutions and conduct external research to stay at the forefront of AI/ML advancements and explore new opportunities. Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, algorithms, and methodologies, demonstrated through a track record of leading successful projects. Extensive experience in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in real-world applications, preferably within robotics, automation, or autonomous driving. Strong background in computer science, mathematics, or related fields, with expertise in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and understanding of world model architectures. Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals and deliver high-quality results. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of effectively conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, enabling you to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in AI/ML. Ability to collaborate with academic institutions and conduct external research to drive innovation and explore new frontiers in AI/ML.
