Bouygues Energies & Services is recruiting a Graduate Data Analyst to work in a small team based in Manchester.

The Graduate Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting business operations by analysing data, improving processes and assisting in strategic decision making. The role will work closely with stakeholders in different departments, gaining valuable experience and exposure to real work business challenges in an engineering and construction environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will be enrolled onto our graduate programme which is a two-year structured training scheme. Our programme offers a balance of training and on the job learning to support the transition to becoming an accomplished professional. Graduates will take responsibility for their careers, while we offer guidance and support to help reach their goals.

The type of tasks the successful candidates will be involved with:

  • Collect, clean and analyse large datasets to extract meaningful insights.

  • Develop reports, dashboards and visualisations using Power BI to communicate findings effectively.

  • Utilise Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) to improve data processes and business workflows.

  • Conduct research and data analysis to support business initiatives and decision making.

  • Research, analyse and define current and proposed business processes and apply gap analysis.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and influence outcomes.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis.

    What you will need:

  • Degree educated to a 2:1 or above.

  • A background in Data Science, Statistics, Business, Business Informatics or a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) field would be an advantage.

  • An analytical mind that can spot patterns and think creatively.

  • Self-motivated, results and delivery focused with a commitment to quality of work and attention to details.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Familiarity with or interest in learning data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power Platform.

  • Interested in working in an engineering environment.

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python or R would be advantageous.
