Job Summary

We areseeking a Data Scientist to join the Sales & OperationsPlanning Divisions (S&OP) under the Global OptimizerDepartment. S&OPs primary responsibility is to optimize crudeallocation and operations across global manufacturing facilities.This optimization aims to maximize revenue increase profitabilityand capitalize on international market opportunities.

The division serves as the gatekeeper for linearprogramming (LP) at wholly owned refineries and oversees theintegrated global MPIMS model. This model is crucial for optimizingglobal crude allocation exploring new international markets andintegrating operational options.

As a DataScientist your main role will involve analyzing and structuringlarge volumes of realtime and historical data. You will buildalgorithms and solutions around this data to facilitatedecisionmaking within the company. Your work will be pivotal insupporting the companys forecasting and predictive digital strategycontributing to the development of advanced solutions at theDownstream Digital Center.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Formulate and lead multifaceted analytic studies againstlarge volumes of data.
• Interpret and analyzedata using exploratory mathematical and statistical techniquesbased on the scientific method.
• Coordinateresearch and analytic activities utilizing various data points(unstructured and structured) and employ programming to cleanmassage and organize the data.
• Experimentagainst data points provide information based on experiment resultsand offer previously undiscovered solutions to complex datachallenges.
• Lead all data experiments taskedby the Data Science Team.
• Coordinate with DataEngineers to build data environments providing data identified byData Analysts Data Integrators Knowledge Managers and IntelAnalysts.
• Develop methodology and processesfor prioritization and scheduling of projects.
• Analyze problems and determine root causes.
• Define company data assets (data models) Spark SparkSQLand HiveSQL jobs to populate data models.
• Workclosely with all business units and engineering teams to developstrategy for longterm data platform architecture.

Requirements:

• Willingness to relocate toDhahran Saudi Arabia.
• Hold aBachelors degree in Operations Research Industrial EngineeringApplied Mathematics Statistics Physics Computer Science or relatedfields. An advanced degree is preferred.
• Have57 years of professional experience in a related field.
• Proficiency with one or more programming languages (JavaC Python R etc.).
• Demonstrate experienceapplying data science methods to realworld dataproblems.
• Experience in utilizingvisualization tools to leverage the growing volume of availableinformation.
