FrontEnd Software Engineer (3D)
As a Front EndEngineer at Vaarst you will play a crucial role in building andenhancing the frontends for a range of innovative Vaarst productsusing React and TypeScript. In addition you will be responsible forthe webbased 3D rendering capabilities in Vaarst using ThreeJS andWebGL to build high quality and interactive 3D applications. Youwill be an integral member of a crossfunctional team contributingto the development of products such as SubSLAM Autonomy and theVaantage suite. Additionally you will collaborate with the UI Teamto define and implement best practices for UI development acrossthe organization offering your expert insights to ensureconsistency andexcellence.

- Designingprototyping and developing the FrontEnd to solve complexproblems
- Advocating for User Experience designand guiding the Engineering teams
- Collaboratingwith Researchers Designers and Engineers to buildconsensus
- Modifying and testing changes topreviously developed products
- Breaking downrequirements and building appropriatesolutions
- Contribute to and uphold agiledevelopment practices
- Guide and buildconsistency in design and an exceptional userexperience

- Experieceof developing productionlevel ReactJS and Typescript for front endapplications.
- Experiencewith 3D rendering with an understanding of:
Webbasedframeworkssuch as ThreeJS WebGL and WebGPU
Rendering pipelines andtechniques
Pointclouds and meshes
Shaderprogramming
Mathematicssuch as transformations and linear algebra
- Using APIs anddata sources to build interactive and engaging applications
- Software developmenttooling such as: Git Docker and CI/CDpipelines
Growtogether with Rovco where you will learn and use thefollowing:
- Usingendtoend testing frameworks such as: Playwright/Cypress andSelenium
- Buildingwebbased applications for desktop or embedded environment such asusing Electron.
- Workingwith a Linux environment
- Familiaritywith state management toolssuch asRedux or Zustand
- Familiaritywith build tools such as Webpack or Vite
- Interest inmachine learning or robotics
