As a freelance data dashboard consultant, you will play a pivotal role in helping an established UK-based manufacturer transform raw data into actionable business insights. The company has grown steadily, expanding its product range and team, and now seeks expert guidance to untangle and optimize its data infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify the most impactful key performance indicators, streamline data collection and reporting processes, and establish a robust foundation for ongoing data-driven decision making. This short-term contract offers the flexibility of hybrid work and the potential for future collaboration, focusing on delivering clarity and strategic value from complex datasets.


Deliverables

  • Audit and assess existing Grafana dashboards, SQL, and MySQL data sources
  • Identify and define relevant KPIs tailored to business objectives and growth plans
  • Design and implement clear, actionable dashboards for ongoing performance monitoring
  • Develop documentation and best practices for data management and reporting
  • Provide training or knowledge transfer to internal staff for dashboard maintenance
  • Recommend improvements to data structure and reporting workflows

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data analysis, dashboard development, and KPI strategy
  • Proficiency with Grafana, SQL, and MySQL
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into technical data solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses or startups preferred
  • Ability to deliver clear documentation and training materials
  • Availability for a short-term contract with hybrid (on-site/remote) flexibility
  • Based in the UK or able to work UK business hours
