About the role: An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Tech Manager to sit within the firm's Planning & Reporting Centre of Excellence. In this role, you will support the Reporting Lead in developing advanced reporting, machine learning, and automation solutions, while driving engagement with GenAI in alignment with our firm's strategic and commercial priorities. As a Finance Tech Manager, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining the Finance reporting and new technology platforms / initiatives, exploring new approaches and ideas for how we use new technology, supporting users to understand the art of the possible, bringing the with us on the technology journey, building our reporting capability and innovatively developing our management information solutions and tools to help our people leverage AI to provide greater insight and reduce production time. We are currently hiring into our Birmingham, Belfast, Leeds, Edinburgh and Manchester offices What your days will look like: Collaborate with Line of Service stakeholders to understand reporting and insights requirements, leveraging the right tech solutions from initial briefings through to delivery. Design of appropriate solutions and processes to meet business needs using the most appropriate tools, enhancing future reports. Continuously improve existing reporting capabilities, identifying areas for enhancement whilst ensuring quality control over developments, day-to-day processes, and the reporting system. Manage the development of tech reporting and insights solutions, which will be a combination of directing staff and/or external contractors and hands on development. This role is for you if: Must possess relevant finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA. (or an international equivalent). Ability to translate business requirements into a reporting / technology / automation process solution design. Experience of delivering system solutions, from scoping phases through project management, to embedding processes and outputs and delivering these insights to firmed business partnering Experience in technology and finance to manage Lead User Acceptance Testing processes with line of services and the P&R Support Team. Knowledge of structuring data in database tables for effective reporting and leveraging for AI tools. Experience in report design, information visualisation, process automation. Keen advocate for emerging tech (i.e. GenAI, ML, PowerBi, Co Pilot).
