We are looking to recruit an ESG Analyst. This is your chance to join a company helps global brands shape their sustainability strategy and share it with the world!

What You Can Expect

  • Location – London

  • Salary –£32,000 - £40,000

  • Work Type – Permanent

    Main Responsibilities as an ESG Analyst

  • Developing expertise in specific areas, contributing to an internal knowledge base.

  • Monitoring ESG/sustainability policies and regulatory updates through horizon scanning.

  • Creating sector-specific insight reports for internal teams, clients, and prospects.

  • Preparing in-depth background briefings using advanced research tools, including AI.

  • Conducting peer reviews, benchmarking exercises, and sustainability communication audits for clients and prospects.

  • Reviewing client “shop fronts” and assessing for greenwashing risks.

  • Monitoring key markets (UK, EU, US) using tools like Meltwater to compile daily news updates for teams and clients.

  • Utilising social listening tools to assess brand awareness, audience engagement, and message resonance.

  • Leading virtual focus groups and deriving insights for behaviour-change campaigns.

  • Producing audience insights for campaign strategies and creating thought leadership content on relevant industry themes and trends.

    Core Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in a role as an analyst or researcher within an ESG consultancy, research organisation, or a similar capacity.

  • Strong academic foundation: 'A' Levels (or equivalent) with grades B or higher and a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent).

  • Additional postgraduate qualifications in fields such as Sustainability, Environmental Science, Climate/Environmental Law, or Data Science/Analytics are advantageous.

    ESG and Sustainability Expertise

  • Comprehensive knowledge of sustainability issues, grounded in social and environmental science, policy, regulations, and frameworks.

  • Familiarity with evolving norms and best practices in ESG strategy, compliance, sustainability communications, and reporting.

    Research and Analytical Skills

  • Proficient in utilising research tools to gather, analyse, and interpret ESG-related data, focusing on risks, performance, engagement, and impact.

  • Strong analytical mindset, capable of converting research findings into actionable insights with critical thinking skills.

    Communication Skills

  • Excellent ability to adapt and convey insights effectively to various audiences, including executives, investors, consumers, employees, policymakers, and the public.

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities to deliver impactful messages tailored to diverse stakeholders.
