Job Description:

TheEnterpriseData& Platform Directorwill lead the enterpriseanalyticsfunctionsdataand platform strategy, focusing on building scalable, secure, and high-performingdataplatforms acrossFinance, Commercial andR&D/Labs. This role will manage a team ofDataEngineers, as well asDataand Solution Architects, ensuring that thedatainfrastructure supports advancedanalytics,AI, and machine learning initiatives.

A key focus will be on implementingdatamesharchitectureto decentralizedataownership and empower business functions and segments with self-servicedatacapabilities. The role will ensure that best-in-class platforms such asAzure, Databricks, and other cloud technologies are leveraged to create robustdataassets, cataloging, and governance frameworks.

Additionally, they will oversee the design of end-to-enddataand solutionsarchitecture, ensuring alignment with business needs and collaborating closely withAIandanalyticsteams to drive business transformation.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Leadership ofData& Platform Team: Lead, mentor, and guide a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and technical excellence. Set clear goals, encourage best practices, and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Build & DeliveryDataStrategy :Lead the creation and implementation of the organization’s enterprisedatastrategy, ensuring alignment with business needs acrossFinance, Commercial, andR&D/ Labs functions. Develop scalabledatasolutions that support business growth andinnovation.
• Build & ScaleDataInfrastructure:Oversee the development and optimization of robust, scalabledataplatforms
• DataAsset Creation & Cataloging:Lead efforts to create, manage, and catalogue high-quality, reusabledataassets. Ensure thatdata governanceanddata qualitystandards are enforced across the organization, makingdataaccessible and reliable for functions & segments.
• Technology Platform:Evaluate, implement, and manage modern technology platforms that align with the organization’sdataneeds. Ensure the integration of best-fit platforms likeAzure, Databricks, and other cloud technologies to enable scalable, efficientdatastorage, processing, andanalytics.
• Collaborate withAI&AnalyticsTeams:Partner withAIandanalyticsdelivery teams to ensuredataavailability, integration, and scalability forAImodels, advancedanalytics, and machine learning efforts.
• EnsureDataSecurity and Compliance:Develop and enforcedatasecurity, privacy, and compliance protocols to safeguard sensitive information across enterprise functions. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, ensuringdataplatform adherence

What are we looking for?

• Extensive experience building and deliveringdataand technology platform strategies across an organisation.
• Experienced leader developing high-performing teams ofdataengineers,data& solution architects.
• Minimum 10+ Years experience inData&Analytics
• Deep technical understanding of cloud technology architectures, preferredAzure& Databricks
• Built and deployedDataSelf Service strategy / implementations.
• Knowledge ofDataMesh and have applied the principles to an organisation to unlock the power ofData.
• Excellent communication skills - written, oral, presentation and interpersonal.
• Proven ability to influence technical and business stakeholders to gain support of vision and strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with an advanced degree preferred
