Competitive salary (hybrid working - 2 days in the office, 35 hours per week)

Allen & York are excited to be working with a forward-thinking organisation, specialising in providing data-driven research, consultancy, technology products and training services to companies investing in, and navigating through, the energy transition.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Energy Data Scientist to join their fast growing and innovative team.

You will be involved with developing new and working on existing applications using Python, C# and front-end web technologies.

You will hold a numerical or computer-based degree and have comprehensive experience of working in the GB, European or Japanese power markets, with a specific focus on forecasting the short-term power markets. Highly skilled in Python and Machine Learning, you will have experience of working across a range of ML models, for example, TensorFlow and scikit-learn. An excellent communicator, you'll enjoy working with colleagues across different disciplines and have the ability to discuss technical matters in non-technical language.

Experience of using GitHub or Azure DevOps, together with SQL knowledge would be advantageous to this role.
