Job Title: Energy Data Analyst
Base: London or Colchester Office
Salary: £35,000 + car allowance or travel, Fuel card, 25+ days holiday, Pension, Private healthcare, Life assurance, Laptop/mobile & Training & development opportunities

Job Summary:
The data analyst is responsible for collating and analysing energy data, supporting the business and our clients to make effective business decisions and practices.

The role holder evaluates risk by analysing statistical information by undertaking various forms of analysis and mathematical calculations from the initial analysis of data quality through the final analysis and report writing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing master data and users
  • Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content
  • Liaise with energy suppliers to get regular access to consumption data and energy billing data
  • Provide quality assurance of imported data
  • Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines
  • Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security and metadata
  • Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes
  • Set up and maintain automated data processes
  • Produce and track key performance indicators
  • Develop and support reporting processes
  • Monitor and audit data quality
  • Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools
  • Create data dashboards, graphs and visualisations

Requirements:

  • Related degree level qualification
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Ability to translate business requirements into understandable terms
  • Experience in handling large data sets
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective communication and organisational skills
  • Report writing skills and ability to effectively present results
  • Understanding of BMS and building operations (desirable)

General:

  • The post holder must maintain the confidentiality of information about clients and other services in accordance with Company Policy
  • The post will be subject to regular annual staff development review
  • The post holder will be expected to keep themselves up to date on all matters relating to Company procedures and policy
  • The post holder must familiarise themselves with matters relating to health and safety management as they affect them personally and/or the Company, reporting any potential risks to life or property immediately in accordance with the Company Health and Safety policy and procedures. They must use all equipment provided to undertake their role safely
