The Opportunity:
After a number of exciting tender wins my client is looking to add an Embedded Software Engineer to their Product Development team and the ideal candidate will have a solid mathematical grounding, as well as the proven ability to develop algorithms to solve complex problems.
You will join a dynamic team with a culture of innovation in developing next-generation camera and edge processing products and solutions.
You will work with a dedicated group of Subject Matter Experts including talented Embedded Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Specialists and supporting Test and DevOps and will be involved from concept to manufacturing and beyond
This role would suit an individual with a background in ANPR, CCTV, Traffic/Speed Enforcement, computer vision or video encoders, who thrives on innovating new solutions.
Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of work experience with Embedded Software Development in C and C++ (both are essential)
  • Able to create custom Linux-based systems for embedded devices (Yocto, Buildroot, OpenEmbedded, etc.)
  • Experience developing on a Nvidia platform would be highly beneficial
  • Able to solve complex problems by developing algorithms and utilising lateral thinking
  • Client facing skills, and the ability to produce detailed value propositions
  • An outside of the box thinker, with a strong desire to push boundaries in innovation
