Embedded Linux Engineer – £75k - £85k – semi remote - Slough

Hexwired Recruitment is recruiting for an expanding Electronics manufacturer based in Slough now seeking an Embedded Linux Engineer to help deliver key projects for clients across a range of applications. You will be working as part of an experienced team to develop a range of bespoke products.

The company are expanding to meet the demands of their clients and are seeking an Embedded Linux Engineer ideally with previous experience in a technical lead role or an interest in moving into a leadership role. As the company is beginning a number of projects from scratch, you will get the chance to see a number of products from design to manufacture.

This is a Embedded Linux Engineer job focusing primarily on Linux Kernel Drivers as well as experience working on high speed and low latency applications. This role can be done mostly remotely with occassional onsite visits.

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Embedded Systems, Computer Science or similar

  • 5+ commercial Embedded software experience

  • Good commercial Embedded Linux experience working on Kernel Drivers

  • Excellent experience working on commercial C++

  • Good experience working on low latency applications using Embedded Linux (Video, Graphics, semiconductor etc)
