Director of Solutions Architecture Reigate / London to £160k+


Do you have a wealth of experience with solution design, working directly with clients? You could be progressing your career in a senior, impactful role at one of the world's longest established InsurTech businesses.


As the Director of Solutions Architecture you will oversee the development of technical strategy, design and data architecture capabilities, representing the voice of client's and the market into both internal and external deliverables. You will drive growth, developing technology propositions, continuously improving team capabilities and contributing to high value programmes across the technology area of the business.


Using a consultancy approach you will build and maintain senior level relationships both internally and externally with clients, acting as a point of contact for advice and guidance on best practices in architecture and technology. You'll collaborate closely with the Data Architect to lead propositions for data strategy, design and architecture, ensuring alignment and management of capacity planning; work with Sales and Engagement support to guide client sales processes including RfP and client presentations, taking a lead in discovery sessions and designing solutions tailored to the clients needs.


This is a high profile, impactful Director level role where you'll promote best practices in technology consulting across an enterprise scale, global company.


Location / WFH:

There's a hybrid work from home model with 2-3 days in the Reigate office (you may also use the London office depending on client engagements).


About you:

  • You have deep experience in a top 4 global consultancy with client facing expertise and a track record of delivering complex solutions to insurance clients
  • You have excellent analytical and technical problem solving skills with the capacity to navigate complex challenges and developing innovative solutions
  • You have strong data domain experience including data strategy, architecture and integration
  • You are capable of designing, articulating and developing complex IT architectures, both in pre-sales and post-sales contexts and are comfortable adapting to situations where limited information is available about a client's technology stack, and are able to define solutions based on evolving requirements
  • You have indepth experience of managing client relationships through the entire consultancy lifecycle; Sales, Design and Delivery
  • You have strong project / programme management skills
  • You're familiar with public cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and have a strong awareness of current and emerging technologies including potential applications, benefits and limitations
