Job Description

As the Director of Product Management and Head of Verisk Exposure Management Solutions, you will lead the charge in creating a unified vision for global multi-line exposure management within the (re)insurance industry. Your role will involve providing thought leadership, defining product strategies, and driving innovation to enhance our product capabilities. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure alignment on future capabilities and strategic objectives, while also building and maintaining strong relationships with key senior-level decision makers and influencers across our customer accounts. Your expertise in catastrophe modeling workflows, exposure management, and reinsurance will be crucial in guiding teams and integrating multiple products into client workflows.

What youll do

  • Create clarity and positive momentum towards a shared Verisk vision for a single Global Multi-line Exposure management vision for global (re)insurance industry.
  • Provide thought leadership and product direction on evolution of product capabilities by demonstrating deep understanding of market trends, user experience best practices, market needs and competitive landscape to define the Solution strategy.
  • Perform market and client analysis for assessing clients needs, technology trends, and competitive offerings and work with the Product management team to develop product requirements.
  • Write business cases and provide on-going input to product investment activity in-line with defined portfolio balance, capacity and capability planning and development.
  • Engage stakeholders to build ongoing support, mutual understanding and common commitment of funding and timelines.
  • Accountable for achieving the strategic objectives in line with our agreed investments.
  • Carry out regular innovation forums with our customer base to bring about product innovation.
  • Identify competitive and alternative offerings in the market. Assess their strengths and weaknesses. Develop a strategy for winning against the competition.
  • Build and maintain effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers across the customer accounts, in particular our key strategic customers.
  • Carry out regular proactive reviews with the key strategic clients.
  • Responsible for understanding the requirements of the clients and ensuring the solution meets the requirements by working closely with the pre-sales team including input into RFP proposals.
  • An escalation point for Delivery, Support, and Account Management when required to ensure Clients concerns and/or requirements are fully understood and assessed from a Product perspective.
  • Work directly with internal stakeholders across Verisk in SBS and EES to align on future capabilities.
  • Any other duties commensurate to the grade of the role.

What you bring

  • At least 10+ years working in a leadership role in catastrophe modeling workflows, exposure management and reinsurance. Strong understanding of exposure data, best practices for exposure management and need for analytics in global markets.
  • Experience with Sequel Impact, Touchstone Geospatial and other similar products preferred.
  • Proven ability to guide teams and help integration of multiple products in client workflows.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions, use data driven approaches and execute well.
  • Willingness to build expertise in all areas of product management: Strategy, Product roadmaps and go-to market techniques.
