Director, Business Development - IQVIA Safety & Regulatory Clinical Services

Our Regulatory Affairs and Drug Discovery Solutions team helps Pharma, Biopharma and MedTech companies handle regulatory and safety workflows more flexibly, productively, and efficiently.

The Director/Sr Director, Business Development will be expected to lead key global or multi-country strategic and/or large opportunities that are critical to achieving account plan and financial goals by driving key decisions.

Responsibilities

  1. Defines & executes the sales strategy required to achieve targets set for named accounts or territory.
  2. Builds and maintains relationships with key sponsor contacts to support the sales strategy and achieve targets.
  3. Manage assigned strategic and key account relationships individually or in coordination with Global and Regional Sales Teams.
  4. Identify and respond to customer needs to define potential opportunities for Regulatory/Pharmacovigilance solutions and propose appropriate tailored solution in line with client needs.
  5. Collaborates with IQVIA's Internal RFX, Pricing & Contracts team to support the sales cycle from RFX to sale.
  6. Develop new business by prospecting accounts focusing on Safety and Regulatory services and Consulting services.
  7. Maintains account or territory plans that summarize the key opportunities and key sponsor contacts.
  8. Leverage internal best practices to ultimately increase business opportunities.
  9. Upholds IQVIA's passion for improving patient's lives and IQVIA's ethics.

Requirements

  1. Possess an understanding of the Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance processes for both pre-marketed and post-marketed stages of a product.
  2. Selling drug Regulatory Affairs and Safety services and consulting.
  3. Experience working with Regulatory Affairs Departments, Product Safety related departments, or Regulatory Submissions.
  4. Possess an understanding of the existing technologies associated with global regulatory Affairs and Lifecycle safety activities and requirements.
  5. 10+ years of experience of working in a Sales, business development or similar position within the pharmaceutical, CRO, health, life science or other related regulated industry.
  6. Proven track record of managing mid-level and high-level contacts.
  7. Strong organizational, planning, project management skills.
  8. A developing record of customer contacts at the outsourcing, procurement and mid-management level.
  9. Excellent Business/Industry awareness and a thorough understanding of industry trends and impact on the business.
  10. Excellent analytical skills in assessing and interpreting customer business data.
  11. Ability to maintain demanding timelines.
  12. Ability to influence others internally and externally.
  13. Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities.
  14. Demonstrated ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment.
  15. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities.
  16. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  17. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients.
