Senior Data Analyst

We’re looking for a Digital Audio Data Analyst to join our digital team on a full-time permanent basis.

Bauer Media Audio are on a mission to make our listeners’ world sound better. Insight and Data Analytics play an integral role in supporting growth and development. This role sits within Bauer Audio’s Digital Team and will work closely with wider teams such as Commercial, Content, Marketing and Product. You will report to our Head of Audience Insight & Intelligence.

You will be responsible for promoting and delivering data-driven responses to strategic opportunities across the global Digital Audio business. You will support teams across the 9 markets to aid understanding of performance and improve customer experience on digital products. You will use your knowledge and experience in data strategy to identify new approaches to creating value from the use of data.

We follow a hybrid working model; you will be expected to work from home and our office location in London.

Our Team:

The digital team supports our country business units with strategy, insight, innovation, product management, technology, IP distribution and support. Our markets are responsible for local planning, content and commercial delivery. As part of a combined community of digital experts, the teams work in partnership to create outstanding services to our users and deliver commercial success.

What you’ll do:

  • Organising, analysing, and extracting insights from diverse data sources to identify issues and opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining dashboards (Looker, Power BI, GA4) for business objective monitoring.
  • Evaluating market performance and customer value, tracking against OKRs and identifying priority customers.
  • Managing large-scale analytics projects and ad hoc queries, such as audience deep dives and product user journeys.
  • Utilizing analytical tools to create reports, test hypotheses, derive insights, and identify trends.
  • Analyzing A/B test results and applying causal methodologies to improve strategies.
  • Collaborating with product, content, marketing, and commercial teams to provide insights and support strategic decisions.
  • Effectively communicating data insights to non-technical stakeholders and advising on innovative data usage.

What you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Data Analyst, impacting decision-making, preferably in digital products.
  • Expert knowledge of data tools like Looker and GA4.
  • Proven ability to deliver impactful insights with interactive visualizations.
  • Effective communication skills to simplify complex data for non-technical colleagues.
  • Proficient in data mining and SQL for data extraction and querying.
  • Understanding of various data structures and transformation methods.
  • Ability to identify value creation opportunities from data.
  • High level of commercial acumen.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, thriving in start-up environments, and navigating large organizations.
  • Resilient under pressure and effective with many moving parts.
  • Experience working with senior management.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Understanding of digital media products is desirable.
