DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer Location: Exeter (this is not fully remote role) Salary: up to £60k Are you passionate about DevOps and ready to take on a new challenge? We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team and help build a cutting-edge gamification engine. In this role, you'll work closely with our Software Engineering Manager and Head of Data Engineering to architect and develop a modern, scalable infrastructure hosted on AWS. What You'll Do: Contribute to the architecture and implementation of our cloud platform strategy. Champion DevSecOps best practices throughout the engineering team. Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy new features and functionality seamlessly. Enhance and optimize our existing infrastructure. Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IAC) with Terraform and the Terragrunt framework. Advocate for and implement automated testing for IAC using tools like Terratest. Improve our CI/CD processes to enable multiple non-disruptive deployments. Apply best practices for Kubernetes deployments using tools like Helm. Implement robust observability and monitoring solutions to support proactive maintenance. Qualifications & Skills: 5 years of experience in an AWS DevOps or related infrastructure role. Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation. Experience with Terragrunt and Terratest is a plus. Proven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Knowledge of security best practices in a DevOps context is advantageous. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash. Familiarity with agile methodologies is beneficial. Why Join Us?
