Co-Founder & CTO at Predictiva | On a mission to bridge the gap between academic research and practical implementations within the FinTech domain!

About the Role

Are you passionate about building AI systems that can think, learn, and trade autonomously?

Predictiva is looking for a Deep Learning Engineer to join our award-winning team developing next-generation AI trading platforms. You’ll work on cutting‑edge models, transform research into production systems, and help redefine how machine learning interacts with global financial markets.

Key Responsibilities

As a Deep Learning Engineer at Predictiva, you will:

  • Develop and train advanced deep learning models using Python and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Build and deploy APIs for AI models, preferably using FastAPI, and deploy them on cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
  • Integrate model training pipelines with third‑party tools for experiment tracking, visualization, and performance monitoring.
  • Prepare and process data — including structured and unstructured time‑series data — for use in ML models.
  • Bridge the gap between research and production, translating machine learning ideas into real‑world trading applications.
  • Collaborate across teams, sharing knowledge and presenting insights to data scientists, software engineers, and financial experts.

About Predictiva

Predictiva is an AI FinTech company developing autonomous trading systems that leverage advanced machine learning to trade global financial markets. Our mission is to make cutting‑edge AI trading technology accessible to professionals and institutions worldwide.

Backed by a team of researchers and engineers, Predictiva’s platforms enable traders and asset managers to make faster, bias‑free decisions through AI‑powered portfolio optimization, market analysis, and adaptive trading algorithms.

What We Offer

  • Employee share options through our equity pool.
  • 28 days paid annual leave + UK bank holidays.
  • Free unlimited personal access to our trading platforms.
  • Access to powerful cloud‑based compute resources.
  • Company laptop and technical tools.
  • The opportunity to work on state‑of‑the‑art AI and FinTech technologies.
  • A vibrant, collaborative environment of scientists, engineers, and financial innovators.

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines strong deep learning skills with creativity and curiosity.

  • BSc in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of deep learning algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
  • Experience building APIs (preferably FastAPI) and Python‑based applications.
  • Proficiency in handling complex datasets and time‑series data.
  • Ability to conduct independent research and clearly communicate findings.
  • MSc or PhD in AI, ML, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Understanding of Reinforcement Learning algorithms.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Kafka, Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Interest or prior experience in financial markets.

Why Join Us

At Predictiva, you’ll have the chance to work at the intersection of AI research, financial innovation, and scalable engineering. You’ll help build systems that learn from markets in real time — and you’ll do it alongside a team that values curiosity, excellence, and creative thinking.

New Machine Learning Employers to Watch in 2026: UK and Global Companies Driving ML Innovation

Machine learning (ML) has transitioned from a specialised field into a core business capability. In 2026, organisations across healthcare, finance, robotics, autonomous systems, natural language processing, and analytics are expanding their machine learning teams to build scalable intelligent products and services. For professionals exploring opportunities on www.MachineLearningJobs.co.uk , understanding the companies that are scaling, winning investment, or securing high‑impact contracts is crucial. This article highlights the new and high‑growth machine learning employers to watch in 2026, focusing on UK innovators, international firms with significant UK presence, and global platforms investing in machine learning talent locally.

How Many Machine Learning Tools Do You Need to Know to Get a Machine Learning Job?

Machine learning is one of the most exciting and rapidly growing areas of tech. But for job seekers it can also feel like a maze of tools, frameworks and platforms. One job advert wants TensorFlow and Keras. Another mentions PyTorch, scikit-learn and Spark. A third lists Mlflow, Docker, Kubernetes and more. With so many names out there, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking you must learn everything just to be competitive. Here’s the honest truth most machine learning hiring managers won’t say out loud: 👉 They don’t hire you because you know every tool. They hire you because you can solve real problems with the tools you know. Tools are important — no doubt — but context, judgement and outcomes matter far more. So how many machine learning tools do you actually need to know to get a job? For most job seekers, the real number is far smaller than you think — and more logically grouped. This guide breaks down exactly what employers expect, which tools are core, which are role-specific, and how to structure your learning for real career results.

What Hiring Managers Look for First in Machine Learning Job Applications (UK Guide)

Whether you’re applying for machine learning engineer, applied scientist, research scientist, ML Ops or data scientist roles, hiring managers scan applications quickly — often making decisions before they’ve read beyond the top third of your CV. In the competitive UK market, it’s not enough to list skills. You must send clear signals of relevance, delivery, impact, reasoning and readiness for production — and do it within the first few lines of your CV or portfolio. This guide walks you through exactly what hiring managers look for first in machine learning applications, how they evaluate CVs and portfolios, and what you can do to improve your chances of getting shortlisted at every stage — from your CV and LinkedIn profile to your cover letter and project portfolio.
