Purpose of the Role: We are seeking an Azure Data Solution Architect to provide expertise in designing and architecting data technology solutions in Azure, while driving our Centre of Excellence service.
What You'll Be Doing:
Research and design multiple end-to-end solutions for enterprise customers simultaneously. Identify and address areas of concern such as governance, security, maturity, adoption, and both functional and non-functional requirements. Collaborate closely with project members and customers to ensure project timelines, development, and deliverables are on track, and communicate findings to stakeholders. Educate, train, and build knowledge of enterprise data platforms and solutions with customers and internal teams. Stay current with technical and industry developments, including pursuing relevant certifications. Document all designs and solutions. Maintain a consultative approach to projects.
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
Deep knowledge and significant experience in delivering Big Data architecture and design solutions. Experience with data cataloguing, modelling, warehousing, and analytics. Proven understanding of security and governance. Proficiency with PowerPoint, Tableau, and Power BI. Strong understanding of Azure or AWS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud services (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS). Familiarity with Well-Architected frameworks, security principles, and Agile/Waterfall project lifecycles. Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Design and implementation experience with at least three of the following: Azure Synapse, Azure SQL DB, Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Redshift, S3, Stream Analytics, Kinesis, Azure Data Factory, IoT Hub, Azure ML Studio, SageMaker, Azure Data Lake Gen2, HDInsight.
Desirable Skills:
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Azure DevOps. Experience with IoT design architecture. Master Data Management design experience. Relevant architecture and cloud-related qualifications (e.g., TOGAF).
