Requirements
About the role
We are looking for a Data Scientist with a strong interest in climate to support our climate product suite. Our climate offerings include our flagship ITR score, emissions estimation models, and other related climate analytics offerings. You will gain a deep understanding of the methodologies and methods of our current offerings and become a model owner. You will work with the Product Specialist to develop new climate offerings and upgrade our existing models. While this role is climate focused, you might be involved in data science related tasks across our sustainability and climate product suite. Your responsibilities will include:
- Define product requirements for climate offerings in collaboration with the Product Specialist and Product Manager.
- Become an owner of our existing climate methodologies and models. Ensure these methodologies and models remain state-of-the-art.
- Develop methodologies and models for new climate offerings.
- Serve as climate methodology and models expert to the sales team in technical presentations and to the technology teams during productionalization.
- Support the testing and validation phases of climate products.
- Support the launch of climate products.
- Serve as an expert who knows that “state-of-the-art” and latest trends in climate to support the Product Specialist in identifying new market opportunities.
Requirements and skills
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Good knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning and strong methodology background.
- Expertise in climate analytics or background in a related field with strong interest in climate.
- Fast learner with the ability to work on projects independently.
- Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure
- Natural tendency to be curious, positive and creative
- Team player who collaborates well with others
