Position:Senior/Lead Data Scientist – Generative AI

Type:Contract (6 months) | Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Location:Remote/Hybrid


About the Role:

We are seeking aSenior or Lead Data Scientistwith deep expertise inGenerative AI, NLP, Deep Learning, and Machine Learningto join an innovation-focused AI Center of Excellence. In this role, you'll help design, develop, and implement cutting-edge AI solutions that drive transformation across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and deployment of AI/ML models with a focus on LLMs, NLP, and deep learning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into products and workflows.
  • Conduct research, model fine-tuning, and validation using frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Support AI governance and ensure responsible, scalable implementation.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing.


Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Advanced degree (PhD/Master’s) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data science with a focus on Generative AI and NLP.
  • Strong Python programming skills and proficiency with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong problem-solving ability and excellent communication skills.
  • PhD and exposure to credit rating or financial risk modelling projects for credit agencies.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, credit).
  • Understanding of AI governance and ethical AI principles.
  • Passion for applying AI to solve real-world business problems.
