About the role

As a Data Scientist you will report directly to our Head of Data Science and play a key role in solving a variety of challenges across the business. Your primary focus will be to support the Revenue Management function, investigating key issues and hypotheses for our Revenue Management Director and the Chief Growth Officer.

We’re looking for an experienced Data Scientist to:

  • Work closely with Commercial teams to implement data-driven strategies.
  • Communicate findings and insights to senior stakeholders that are clear and actionable, influencing data-driven decision-making.
  • Analyse large datasets to uncover insights and drive decision-making.
  • Build A/B test frameworks to measure the effectiveness of revenue management strategies.
  • Design, experiment and implement models and algorithms to maximise our business outcomes from revenue management

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a commercially experienced Data Scientist with experience analysing complex requests and refining them for stakeholders – someone who can offer a varied data set background and expertise in the following:

You should have:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable business decisions.
  • Prior experience in e-commerce, marketplace platforms, or travel tech.
  • Proven experience in developing machine learning models that drive business impact
  • Prior experience sharing analytical insights with commercial stakeholders to drive action
  • Good understanding of supervised and unsupervised machine learning models.
  • Excellent understanding experimental techniques and statistics, as well as coding proficiency using related open-source libraries and frameworks.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills, while being comfortable using Excel where appropriate
  • Strong mathematical foundation – expertise in areas such as econometrics, game theory, and behavioural economics are a plus
  • Experience building and utilising streamlit apps to surface information or insights to stakeholders.
