First Touch Games are looking for a Data Scientist tojoin the team in Oxford to help deliver the best football games onmobile platforms. You will have at least 2 years of experience infree to play mobile gaming in a workplace environment, or in aclosely related industry. You relish being part of a small &highly proficient data science team of that plays an important rolein delivering ongoing success for the Studio. You are a hugefootball fan too with a deep understanding of the game, enhancingyour data science skills to extract unique analysis of the highestquality. Working with our Head of Product and Data Science andacross the Studio generally, you will: - Develop & maintainqueries and visualisations that help monitor the key metrics of ourgames - Drill into in any areas of game performance variability toprovide actionable insight for decision making - Perform deep diveanalysis that illuminates player behaviour and improve gameexperience - Design and assess the results of various split testingexperiments - Support the ongoing development of the Studio’s datagovernance, BI tools and technologies Required skills &experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics,Statistics or other relevant field - Good knowledge of dataquerying and extraction abilities through SQL and Python or othersimilar languages - Confident data modeller with a goodunderstanding of statistical and visualisation techniques, - Anexcellent problem solver with an ability to think critically andcreatively - Gaming enthusiast, in particular free-to-play mobilegames - An excellent communicator, both technical andnon-technical, written and oral - A passionate football fan, eitherthrough playing the game regularly or following the game deeply,including viewing matches regularly and participating in fantasyfootball competitions This is a full time, permanent role based atour Oxford studio.
