HOW YOU’LL EXCEL

  • You’ll work with our data team and our partners to turn data into powerful, actionable insight & recommendations.
  • You’ll be keen to develop client relationships and have a sharp brain and good foundational knowledge of data approaches and practices.
  • You’ll help inform marketing direction with responsibility for working in to the lead data scientist and Fluency leadership team in the origination of brand and marketing metrics & analytics and deployment of new AI solutions.
  • You’ll show the desire to create data-driven structures and narratives that drive impactful change across the marketing landscape.
  • You’ll embrace an outcome oriented culture, where strategy & tactics are alive and help clients thrive.
  • In time you’ll lead day‑to‑day for select clients independently showing high levels of accuracy and acumen to develop these relationships beyond existing projects as appropriate.
  • You’ll develop excellent client relationships and embed yourself in their businesses.
  • You’ll contribute to Fluency’s own strategic development methodologies.
  • You’ll help disrupt the space working with best‑in‑class suppliers.
  • You’ll drive at your own knowledge base, actively deepening your skills.

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years’ experience of working in an analytics environment; client‑side or agency/consultancy
  • Strong academic record, though not prerequisite at degree level.
  • Genuine passion for data science (you would do it for fun!)
  • Desirable areas of study and experience of practical application: economics, maths/stats, data science
  • Having previous client‑facing experience (speaking to clients and sharing your findings is in your comfort zone)
  • Data science curiosity and evidence of practical application, looking to deploy newly acquired skills in a working environment under the supervision of data science leads

SKILLS
Required Skills

  • Python, SQL, (R is also useful but not essential)
  • Tableau or similar visualisation skills (past commercial/practical application)
  • Proficiency in machine learning techniques e.g. Bayesian, Decision tree, Clustering, Dimensionality reduction, Regression, Neural Networks.


  • Interest in data visualisation and/or Java script experience
  • Experience of using AWS or GCP
  • Advanced database knowledge
  • Advanced database knowledge
