We are seeking a Data Science Product Manager to join our Data Product & Portfolio team. As a Data Science Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our Data Science roadmap. You will work closely with our team of Product Managers, Data Scientists and Data Engineers and collaborate with our stakeholders to understand their needs and translate those into business value driven Data Products.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the roadmap for Data Science solutions, including insights, and data science models.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritise key business needs, understand competing demands, prioritise development on the strategically most important needs.
  • Work closely with Data Scientists to develop requirements, set scope of projects, summarise specifications, and track delivery of projects.
  • Participate with hands on scripting (SQL) in testing and validation from ideation to launch, to ensure that the analytical product is technically feasible, scalable, and meets stakeholder needs.
  • Work closely with the Data team on ensuring data accuracy, and coordinate the Data Science team's requirements of new data requests.
  • Define measurable KPIs to track the success of launched analytical solutions, e.g. does it enable data-driven decision making, does it improve campaign performance, etc.
  • Communicate product updates and progress to stakeholders and the team.
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset, take ownership and proactively seek and identify new opportunities where analytics can be applied to support growth and improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the team's processes and workflows and set up best practices in conjunction with the wider Product & Portfolio team.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends to identify opportunities and stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience in product management and managing product backlogs in a Data Science environment.
  • Track record of delivering impact in a fast-paced, data-driven and high-growth business environment and managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audience.
  • Working knowledge of SQL is essential.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of data science concepts and models.
  • Knowledge of Python or other statistical programming language (e.g., R, SAS) is a plus.
  • Experience with BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform, and Tableau or other visualisation suites (e.g., PowerBI, Looker) is an advantage.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • You have a pragmatic, flexible attitude, you easily adapt to changes and can deal with ambiguity.
  • Must be fluent in English with excellent oral and writing skills. A strong preference for additional European language capabilities.
