Requirements

About the Role 

We are looking for a Data Integration Engineer/Data Ingest Engineer to join our team and help shape the platform that powers our data-driven products. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across operational and strategic initiatives, directly contributing to the success of our platform and customer implementations. 

As a Data Ingest Engineer at Panaseer, you will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to operationalise and enhance the platform used to ingest data for our Continuous Controls Monitoring product. This role involves a balance of operational responsibilities and strategic contributions, ensuring that both short-term and long-term objectives are met. You'll get the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and make a meaningful impact in a collaborative and supportive environment focused on growth and innovation. 

Key Responsibilities 

Operational 

  • Triage technical requests, translating them into actionable product requirements. 
  • Scope technical requirements for development, ensuring solutions are scalable and suitable for broader customer use. 
  • Test and verify technical builds, ensuring high-quality standards are met. 
  • Support customer implementations, including incident triage and resolution. 
  • Provide customer-facing support when required. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth rollouts and gather actionable feedback. 

Strategic 

  • Contribute to product development by gathering and prioritising feedback from customers and internal teams. 
  • Assist in designing solutions aligned with customer needs and organisational goals. 
  • Advocate for and educate others on the adoption of platform enhancements. 
  • Drive rollout strategies to maximise adoption and success of new features. 

General 

  • Continuously improve processes and workflows, fostering innovation and efficiency. 
  • Solve complex problems collaboratively or independently. 
  • Communicate effectively across teams and functions. 

 

Skills and Experience 

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: 

  • Working with APIs and ingesting data at scale. 
  • SQL and familiarity with data analysis techniques. 
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC), testing, and peer reviews. 
  • Ability to deploy, configure, and optimise technical solutions for diverse customer requirements. 
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. 
  • Communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and domains. 

Nice-to-have: 

  • Experience with Apache NiFi, Spark, and working in Unix/Linux environments. 
  • Familiarity with networking and integrating data from on-premise and cloud-based tools.
