Job Title: Data Entry and Quality Administrator

Pay Rate: £12.85 Per Hour

Location: Teignbridge, TQ12 4XX

Contract Type: 6 Month Contract, with the possibility of an extension

Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, Mon - Fri

Job Purpose

To support the Council’s transformation programme by gathering, cleansing, and inputting digital data related to Teignbridge assets. This includes converting information from paper documents to digital format and verifying the quality and accuracy of existing digital data within the Asset Management system. The role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand and consolidate various related data sources.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Enter, update, and verify data in the Council’s Asset Management system.

Review the accuracy of existing digital records and ensure they meet quality standards.

Liaise with various departments to understand the location, format, and maintenance process of other data sources.

Consolidate and transfer information from paper documentation into a digital format.

Follow agreed data entry and quality control procedures to maintain consistency and integrity of information.

Work independently and manage day-to-day priorities in line with project objectives.

Report progress and issues regularly to the Project Manager and contribute to team meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

Proven ability to work methodically with attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience using IT packages, particularly Microsoft 365.

Familiarity with databases and data input procedures.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload independently.

Supervision

The role reports directly to the Project Manager and is supported by Technical Support Officers. While guidance will be available, the role requires the ability to work independently and proactively.

Scope for Impact

This role plays a critical part in the success of a wider transformation project. By ensuring the accuracy and completeness of asset-related data, the postholder will directly contribute to better decision-making and efficiency improvements across the Council.
