Data Engineer – Hybrid – Full Time – 37.5 – York – YO26 4GN


About Our Opportunity


As a Data Engineer here at Onebright York you will contribute to the continuous implementation of the right architecture and data pipelines to enable the company to exploit its data assets. The scope of the data warehouse is to provide operational support and monitoring as well as MI for internal and external stakeholders.


You will troubleshoot data quality issues and report on progress and/or blockers to the data team.


What We Need From You



  • Degree in Computer/Data Science or related field or comparable relevant experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Hands‑on in-depth experience in the following:

    • Snowflake
    • DBT – Applicants must be proficient in DBT.


  • Background/working experience in the following:

    • Azure
    • Power BI/DAX
    • Traditional SQL (SqlServer, MySql, Postgres)
    • JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket
    • Azure Data Factory


  • It would be an asset if you also have familiarity with some of these technologies:

    • SSIS
    • C#/ Python
    • CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps
    • Masterdata management


  • Software development lifecycle
  • Change management
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment
