We seek a talented Data Engineer who, working alongside our Lead Data Engineer, will help us build data‑driven applications, pipelines, and unified data models to collect, analyse, and visualize data on reinsurance transactions, market trends, and purchasing behaviour.

You will join our Data & Insights practice within Global Specialties. Together, we aim to enhance colleagues’ and clients’ understanding of reinsurance broking markets across London, Bermuda, New York, Singapore, and Mumbai.

Our ambition is to empower colleagues to provide comprehensive advice and assist clients in making well‑informed decisions regarding their reinsurance purchasing, risk appetite, and portfolio management.

We embrace agile methodologies, focusing on delivering value through experimentation, frequent deployment, and close collaboration with stakeholders.

We will count on you to:
  • Join a growing team, responsible for delivering solutions from concept to implementation.
  • Explore solutions for outdated applications, unstructured data, and decentralised file storage.
  • Collaborate and share best practices with other engineering teams at Guy Carpenter and Marsh McLennan.
What you need to have:
  • A background in Analytics, Data or Software Engineering roles.
  • Experience or a good understanding of Product Management.
  • The communication and collaboration skills to work with business, technical, and development teams.
  • Expert knowledge in Python backend frameworks, ideally one of Django, FastAPI, or Flask.

  • Experience with low code front‑end frameworks (e.g. Streamlit or Dash)
  • Experience with modern web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and familiarity with data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g., Databricks, SQL, Power BI)
