Our skilled Technicians, Mechanics, Fabricators, and Engineers work together to design, build, and run elite competition cars on the track and off-road globally.

We are recruiting a Data Engineer to join the Rally Engineering team. The role involves managing the vehicle’s data architecture, ensuring data quality, and performing analysis to evaluate and optimize rally car performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Traveling role: Data Engineer at all test and rally events of the World Rally Raid Championship.

Specifying, calibrating, and testing car sensors for events and pre-event testing according to Rally Engineering Group guidelines. Ensure optimal configuration for each event.

Promptly publishing accurate engineering documents before and after events and tests, including analysis, sensitivity studies, system configurations, data findings, simulation correlations, and performance of failsafe strategies.

Effectively communicating data findings to Rally Engineers and leading troubleshooting efforts during tests and rallies, using data processing and analysis as decision-making tools.

Maintaining good communication with the crew, engine, and design teams regarding channel strategies, monitoring, control, failsafe contingencies, and driver requests.

Qualifications and Skills

Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Motec i2, WinDarab, ATLAS).

Hands-on experience with data acquisition hardware and relevant software.

Understanding of vehicle dynamics theory and application.

Ability to develop internal tools/software for data processing and analysis.

Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related field.

Experience working in a similar role within a Manufacturer Team in WRC or Rally Raid preferred.

Knowledge of rally car design and architecture is advantageous.
