Data Engineer (Finance & Royalties Project - 12m FTC)
We’re seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with a strong background in automation, pattern finding and pattern matching to join our dynamic team, based in London. You will play a key part in driving BMG’s automation strategy by solutioning advanced models that help royalties and finance teams to further improve data quality and make it AI ready. By working closely with business stakeholders and our data team, you will help shape the future of royalty and finance functions within BMG.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures.
Automate data processing workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Analyse large datasets to identify patterns and trends that can drive business decisions and help them further improve data quality and make it AI ready.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide actionable insights.
Ensure the integrity and quality of data through rigorous testing and validation processes.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering.
Your Profile
Ideally you will hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
Strong experience with data warehousing solutions and ETL processes.
Familiarity with data visualisation tools and techniques.
Experience in the Music or Fintech industry is highly desirable.
First class problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and confidently present findings to senior management.
Collaborative mindset, thriving in an international, cross-functional team environment.
