Our client, Landmarc, is the leading Industry Partner for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), managing and maintaining the Defence Training Estate (DTE). With a new 10-year contract (TESC) with DIO commencing from 2024, they are at the forefront of delivering exceptional services. Their Information and Technology Department is crucial in supporting our mission by delivering, supporting, and maintaining all user-facing IT services, enabling their team to excel in their roles.


Your new role

We're excited to be supporting Landmarc in their search for an experienced and forward-thinking Data Professional to join them at a pivotal time in their digital transformation journey. Data is at the heart of this transformation, and Landmarc is making significant investments in both their data platform and the data literacy of their people. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a growing team that is shaping the future of data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

As the successful candidate, you'll play a key role in managing and evolving Landmarc's Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions. You'll work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions, helping to curate a robust and scalable data platform. From designing and deploying BI solutions to supporting data analysts and developing insightful reports and dashboards, your work will directly influence strategic outcomes.


What you'll need to succeed


To be the right fit for this role at Landmarc, you'll need a strong foundation in data engineering, with proven experience as a data professional. You should have a solid background in data warehouse design particularly dimensional modelling and be confident working with data mining techniques. A deep understanding of database management systems, OLAP, and ETL frameworks is essential, along with hands-on experience using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) Tabular. Familiarity with BI technologies such as Microsoft Power BI, and strong skills in SQL, SSRS, and SSIS are also key. We're looking for someone who brings initiative, innovation, and a problem-solving mindset, especially when it comes to optimising and tuning underperforming queries and jobs.


In addition to the essentials, we're particularly interested in candidates who bring broader experience and a forward-thinking approach. If you have worked with cloud data platforms especially Azure or have knowledge of best practice data architectures, you'll stand out. Experience with C# in SSIS script tasks and familiarity with data cataloguing tools like Dataedo or Bizzdesign would also be highly beneficial. The ideal candidate will not only meet the technical requirements but also align with Landmarc's values and collaborative culture, contributing to a data-driven transformation that's already well underway.
