Chroma is currently working with a prominent high street retailer who is looking for aData Engineerto join their growing team inManchester.Offering up to £75K with excellent benefits and hybrid working (3 days per week on site), this is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to get involved in the early stages of strategic data projects and deliver robust data solutions.


The company is a well-known retailer with hundreds of shops across the UK, France and the USA. They have built a strong reputation over the years, and they are currently evolving from a traditional retailer into a customer-centric, digitally driven business. Now is the perfect time to join them on this exciting journey as they look to drive forward innovation through meaningful data insights.


As a Data Engineer you will join a newly established team tasked with enabling the company to unlock the value of its data. You will build scalable and reliable data pipelines to power analytics, reporting, and strategic decision making. As a Data Engineer you will have the opportunity to utilise cutting edge data tools to design and implement robust data solutions.


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Exposure to Snowflake
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with Azure data products
  • MS SQL expertise (querying, transforming, and managing datasets)
  • Python competency
  • Proficient in version control tools (ideally Git)
  • Agile environment experience


Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in the retail industry
  • Experience with GCP (Dataflow and BigQuery)
  • Experience creating CI/CD pipelines
