CACI\'s Healthcare Insights team is looking for an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated data engineer to join and enhance our product development team. This is a technical role suited to someone with a background in data engineering for the purposes of delivering insightful analytics.


As a developer within Healthcare Insights, you strive for quality and are focused in delivering solutions to our customers, and more. The successful candidate will work within a multi-skilled team developing our products to meet the needs of the healthcare market for the next 15 years.


The role presents an opportunity for a highly motivated person to be a key cog in an exciting period for the organisation. The work being undertaken will help to elevate CACI as a major force in healthcare and this role be integral to that success. To fulfil the needs of the role, the candidate will need to be able to fulfil the duties below.


Key Responsibilities

Design and development of cloud-based data platform using commercial tooling and CACI software. Leading on design principles for best practice in the cloud environment.


Requirements

We\'re looking for a variety of skills and experience levels in data warehouse and cloud applications.


Above all else, we\'re looking for smart, passionate candidates who have:



  • 2-4 years\' experience in data warehousing or data platform development
  • Experience of working within a structured product development environment utilising agile development methods.
  • A self-starter mindset and communicates well on all levels
  • An open, collaborative communication style and a team player.
  • An ability to think fast and learn quickly.
  • A passion for quality.

Core Technical Skills

  • Database design for analytic applications (Data Vault & Kimball techniques)
  • Advanced SQL
  • Databricks
  • Python
  • Experience of developing ETL workflows and data pipelines in a recognised toolset from disparate source systems.
  • A good understanding of product design.

Alongside the core skills listed above, we would be interested in applicants who have experience in one or more of the following areas.



  • PowerBI
  • Experience with Azure ecosystem (including Entra-ID, Key vault, Data Lake)
  • DBT
  • Docker
  • CI / CD pipelines and version control using GitHub
  • IaC (Terraform)
  • Meta data driven design
  • DevOps experience
  • Healthcare industry knowledge/experience is hugely desirable
