What you will be doing:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines:Work with large-scale datasets to ensure efficient data processing, transformation, and storage.
• Optimise data workflows:UseApache SparkandDatabricksto process and analyse energy-related data efficiently.
• Database management:Develop and optimiseSQLqueries to extract and manipulate data for reporting and analytics.
• Data warehousing:Design, implement, and maintaindata warehouse solutionsto support efficient data storage and retrieval for analytics and reporting.
• Cloud integration:Deploy and manage data infrastructure onAWSandAzureplatforms.
• Automation and CI/CD:UtiliseAzure DevOpsandDBTto automate data workflows, version control, and deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams:Work with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to support analytics and machine learning initiatives.

You will need:

• Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Data Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 1-5 years experiencein a Data Engineering role or similar.
• Proficiency inPythonandSQLfor data processing and analysis.
• Experience working withDatabricksandApache Sparkfor big data processing.
• Familiarity withAWSandAzurefor cloud-based data solutions.
• Knowledge ofDBTfor data transformation and modelling.
• Experience withdata warehousing conceptsand tools likeRedshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large-scale datasets.
