We are seeking a skilled and motivatedData Engineerto join our social media client to develop, evaluate, and maintain data architectures and solutions that drive critical initiatives across our organization. As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in executing strategies that control, protect, and maximize the value of our data assets.
This is a 12 months contract, offering up to £77.000-83.9000 per annum, pro rata (PAYE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of data engineering projects, ensuring robust planning, execution, and delivery.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate key business needs into actionable data engineering solutions.
- Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data management and ETL systems aligned with industry best practices and business requirements.
- Develop high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts to enhance data insights.
- Implement and manage enterprise-level data ETL processes to streamline data accessibility and accuracy.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on ETL processes, data architecture, and scalable systems.
- Expertise in:
- PythonandSQLfor data handling, scripting, and manipulation.
- Airflow,Presto,Spark, or similar tools for ETL and big data management.
- Data visualization to present insights effectively to stakeholders.
Skills & Competencies:
- Team-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills for effective written and verbal reporting and presentations.
- Proven ability to work alongside Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to drive project goals.
