We are seeking a skilled and motivatedData Engineerto join our social media client to develop, evaluate, and maintain data architectures and solutions that drive critical initiatives across our organization. As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in executing strategies that control, protect, and maximize the value of our data assets.

This is a 12 months contract, offering up to £77.000-83.9000 per annum, pro rata (PAYE).

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of data engineering projects, ensuring robust planning, execution, and delivery.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate key business needs into actionable data engineering solutions.
• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data management and ETL systems aligned with industry best practices and business requirements.
• Develop high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts to enhance data insights.
• Implement and manage enterprise-level data ETL processes to streamline data accessibility and accuracy.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on ETL processes, data architecture, and scalable systems.
• Expertise in:
• PythonandSQLfor data handling, scripting, and manipulation.
• Airflow,Presto,Spark, or similar tools for ETL and big data management.
• Data visualization to present insights effectively to stakeholders.

Skills & Competencies:

• Team-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills for effective written and verbal reporting and presentations.
• Proven ability to work alongside Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to drive project goals.
