Data Engineer (DBT, Snowflake, PL/SQL)

Location: Manchester, UK – Hybrid (2‑3 days per week in office)


We are looking for a Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines and architecture at GIOS Technology.


Qualifications / Experience

  • Experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise with DBT, including modular SQL development, testing, and documentation.
  • Strong proficiency with Snowflake, including data warehousing concepts, performance optimization, and security best practices.
  • Advanced skills in PL/SQL, including writing and optimizing stored procedures, functions, and packages.
  • Solid foundation in data modeling (e.g., star/snowflake schemas, normalization).
  • Hands‑on experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD workflows.
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt Cloud, or Prefect.
