About the Job

  • You'll own the data engineering that connects our CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, ERP) to our Databricks platform.
  • You'll be building reliable pipelines, designing commercial data models, and ensuring marketing, sales, and professional services have the data they need to operate effectively.
  • Day to day, you're writing Python and SQL to build ETL/ELT pipelines, implementing identity resolution for single customer views, and creating the data models that power segmentation, attribution, and reporting.
  • You'll build enrichment pipelines, set up observability and SLAs, and design the automations that handle lead routing and lifecycle management.
  • You'll work directly with Sales Ops, Marketing, and Analytics, translating requirements into scalable data products while keeping things maintainable and well-documented.
  • We're integrating multiple brand CRMs to a modern cloud stack, so you'll be designing solutions from the ground up, as well as modernising legacy pipelines.

If you like building data infrastructure where you can see the direct impact on conversion rates, pipeline quality, and reporting speed, this role will suit you.

About You

  • You're a data engineer with 3+ years' experience who thrives at the intersection of commercial systems and data architecture. You've built production pipelines connecting CRMs like HubSpot or Salesforce to modern data platforms, and you understand how marketing, sales, and services teams actually use data.
  • You're fluent in Python and SQL, and you've used them to build, orchestrate, and optimise data pipelines in cloud environments; ideally with Databricks or Azure. You know how to model complex domains: accounts, contacts, opportunities, territories, and you've implemented identity resolution to create unified customer views across systems.
  • You've gone beyond basic integrations; you've built data enrichment pipelines, implemented attribution models, and designed automations that actually solve business problems. You think in terms of data products: reusable, trusted datasets with clear SLAs, proper observability, and documentation that others can actually use.
  • You're comfortable working with both technical and commercial stakeholders, translating requirements into robust architectures while keeping solutions pragmatic and maintainable. You understand that good data engineering means building systems that are reliable, observable, and understandable, not just making things work once.
  • Most importantly, you care about outcomes. You measure the impact of your work on conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and data quality. You're excited to join a mission-driven organisation where better data infrastructure means better outcomes for young people's education.

Our Benefits

  • Whilst we work in a hybrid way, with collaboration being one of our values, we'd expect you to regularly be in our Holborn office, at least two days per week
  • 28 days holiday and get an extra day for each year you stay with us, up to max 33 days PLUS bank holidays
  • Health Cash Plan, once you've passed probation, which includes access to a private GP
  • From day 1, free life insurance covering up to x4 your salary
  • We'll both add money into your pension pot after 3 months
  • Choose what flexible benefits you want after you've passed probation - this could be buying extra holiday, dental, topping up your healthcare plan, bikes, gym membership, electric cars and give as you earn
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Volunteer days - 3 paid volunteer days a year, with 2 dedicated to Education

By joining us, you will become part of a community that is dedicated to transforming lives and sustaining communities, where your voice is heard, your ideas are valued, and your individuality is celebrated. Together, we will continue to advance our passion for education and build brighter futures for all.

Employment offers are subject to satisfactory vetting checks. These checks will be run in line with the latest guidance and legislation. You will need to already have the right to work in the UK, as we are not able to offer any sponsorship(s) for visa applicants.

Neurodiversity in Machine Learning Careers: Turning Different Thinking into a Superpower

Machine learning is about more than just models & metrics. It’s about spotting patterns others miss, asking better questions, challenging assumptions & building systems that work reliably in the real world. That makes it a natural home for many neurodivergent people. If you live with ADHD, autism or dyslexia, you may have been told your brain is “too distracted”, “too literal” or “too disorganised” for a technical career. In reality, many of the traits that can make school or traditional offices hard are exactly the traits that make for excellent ML engineers, applied scientists & MLOps specialists. This guide is written for neurodivergent ML job seekers in the UK. We’ll explore: What neurodiversity means in a machine learning context How ADHD, autism & dyslexia strengths map to ML roles Practical workplace adjustments you can ask for under UK law How to talk about neurodivergence in applications & interviews By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of where you might thrive in ML – & how to turn “different thinking” into a genuine career advantage.

Machine Learning Hiring Trends 2026: What to Watch Out For (For Job Seekers & Recruiters)

As we move into 2026, the machine learning jobs market in the UK is going through another big shift. Foundation models and generative AI are everywhere, companies are under pressure to show real ROI from AI, and cloud costs are being scrutinised like never before. Some organisations are slowing hiring or merging teams. Others are doubling down on machine learning, MLOps and AI platform engineering to stay competitive. The end result? Fewer fluffy “AI” roles, more focused machine learning roles with clear ownership and expectations. Whether you are a machine learning job seeker planning your next move, or a recruiter trying to build ML teams, understanding the key machine learning hiring trends for 2026 will help you stay ahead.

Machine Learning Recruitment Trends 2025 (UK): What Job Seekers Need To Know About Today’s Hiring Process

Summary: UK machine learning hiring has shifted from title‑led CV screens to capability‑driven assessments that emphasise shipped ML/LLM features, robust evaluation, observability, safety/governance, cost control and measurable business impact. This guide explains what’s changed, what to expect in interviews & how to prepare—especially for ML engineers, applied scientists, LLM application engineers, ML platform/MLOps engineers and AI product managers. Who this is for: ML engineers, applied ML/LLM engineers, LLM/retrieval engineers, ML platform/MLOps/SRE, data scientists transitioning to production ML, AI product managers & tech‑lead candidates targeting roles in the UK.
