The Role
As a Data Engineer at TLA, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimising our data platform, ensuring the seamless integration and flow of data that underpins the business and our innovative automotive marketing solutions. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust ETL pipelines, managing data within our Data Hub. This role is critical in supporting the organisation’s data-driven decisions and ensuring the availability, integrity, and usability of data across the company. You will also ensure the accurate and timely delivery of data to our clients.
Our core back-end technologies revolve around C# and Microsoft SQL Server, forming the foundation of our systems. We’ve also adopted Python for AI, machine learning, and data science projects, expanding our capabilities into cutting-edge innovation. With a diverse range of technologies and systems in place, there’s plenty to challenge and excite you!
We follow a modern CI/CD approach and embrace Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline deployment and maintain efficiency. Additionally, we practice a Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodology to ensure the highest standards in quality and architecture.

Skills Required
Essential Requirements for role:
•Excellent SQL knowledge working with SQL Server
•Exposure to object orientated languages (i.e. C#, Java or Python)
•A passion for learning and self-development
•Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders, explaining complex data-related concepts in a clear and accessible manner
Nice to have but not essential:
•Experience of Azure cloud or data services (Function Apps, Azure SQL etc)
•Experienced with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF) or building and optimising data pipelines
