The role:
As a Data Engineer, you will be a key player in the evolution of Bauer Media Audio's data architecture. You will support the Head of Data Engineering and Architecture in building and scaling our data capabilities across the UK and internationally. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic vision to transform business needs into tangible data products and services.
Tech stack:
- AWSis essential andGCPwould be nice to have -Azure is not supported
- Utilize strong SQL skills (Postgres, Cloud SQL) for data manipulation and analysis.
- Apply Python or R for building, maintaining, and orchestrating data pipelines.
- Confidently work with APIs and code/scripting pipelines to transform data into analysis-friendly assets using technologies like BigQuery or Amazon Redshift.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline data workflows.
- Design and optimize databases for performance and scalability.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
- Ensure data integration is seamless, making it available, reliable, and accurate.
- Drive the design, development, maintenance, testing, and improvement of data processes and products.
