Principal Consultant - Data, AI and ML Engineering

London – 4 x days a week in office

We are partnered with a rapidly growing technology/product first company. La Fosse have partnered with this growing business to hire a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architecture that power both customer-facing applications and internal analytics platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full data lifecycle – from ingestion and transformation to modelling and integration – in a high-growth, product-led environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain production-grade data pipelines to support customer-facing products and internal dashboards
  • Develop and manage ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources, including APIs
  • Design and implement data architecture for efficient storage, retrieval, and processing
  • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to define and deliver on data requirements

Required experience:

  • Proven track record in data engineering, data architecture, and scalable data solutions
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Airflow, PyTorch, or Spark
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines in production environments
  • Knowledge of data modelling, database design, and data normalisation
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, data quality management, and backend integration (e.g., Python with Django)
  • Working with data lakes, warehousing, or other modern data storage patterns
  • Exposure to AWS or Azure and data services such as Apache Airflow, Terraform, or SageMaker
