Birmingham - Hybrid (1 day a week in the office)
£50,000-£65,000 (Dependent on Experience)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that is expanding its data capabilities. As a Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving strategic data initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders across the business, and delivering insights that support critical decision making. You won't just be building reports—you'll be shaping data solutions that are innovative, scalable, and accessible across platforms, ensuring the business remains ahead in an increasingly data driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end Power BI dashboards and data solutions within Azure Cloud
  • Collaborate closely with data stakeholders and technical teams to bring BI products to life
  • Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, using Agile methodologies
  • Build and maintain scalable data models and robust data architecture
  • Leverage the data warehouse to support self-service analytics and informed decision-making
  • Ensure strong data governance, security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR)
  • Mentor junior BI developers and contribute to a culture of data excellence
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve data reliability, automation, and reusability
Experience & Skills Required
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL is essential
  • Proven experience with Power BI and a keen eye for effective, user-friendly data visualisation
  • Strong background in data warehouse design (preferably Kimball methodology; fact/dimension tables)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Senior Stakeholder management experience
  • Experience working in Agile environments; exposure to DevOps is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset
  • Degree or equivalent professional experience
