Data Engineer – Newcastle (Hybrid, 2 days on-site)

Up to £50,000 | Permanent | Health-Tech


We're working with a health-tech organisation who are rebuilding their core client records system in-house and using this as a chance to modernise their data environment.


They're looking for aData Engineerto help design and build a new data warehouse, bring together multiple data sources, and support the delivery of consistent, accurate reporting across the business.


You'll work closely with a strong BI team (great at reporting, less so on the engineering side), a small dev team, and various stakeholders across the organisation.


Key responsibilities:

  • Design and build a fit-for-purpose data warehouse
  • Pull data from multiple sources (incl. APIs) and build efficient data pipelines
  • Work closely with BI, Dev, and divisional stakeholders to understand data needs
  • Help lay the foundation for long-term reporting and data strategy


Essential skills:

  • Data warehouse design and architecture
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience building ETL pipelines
  • Able to work with API data sources
  • Confident working independently and speaking to stakeholders


Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with reporting environments and BI tools
  • Cloud data warehouse or modern data stack experience
