Role Overview

As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in helping customers adopt and integrate CluedIn’s platform. Working closely with Customer Success Managers, the data team, and customers, you will scope, design, and implement high‑quality data solutions that adhere to CluedIn best practices. Roughly 80% of the role is development; 20% is maintenance, focusing on implementation, configuration, and customization of CluedIn to meet each customer’s unique needs. You will also serve as a trusted advisor, mentoring customers on CluedIn features, data modelling, and best practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own the solution, leading customers from installation to live deployment and ensuring smooth, efficient implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with the Customer Success team and customers to understand requirements and use cases, ensuring solutions align with CluedIn best practices.
  • Design and optimise ETL pipelines, ensuring efficient ingestion, transformation, and validation.
  • Recommend solutions and guide customers toward best practices while maintaining flexibility to find common ground.
  • Connect CluedIn to enterprise systems using Azure Data Factory, REST/SOAP APIs, GraphQL, JSON, and XML.
  • Build scalable, real‑time data solutions with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and Azure Event Hub.
  • Provide technical guidance, best practice recommendations, and hands‑on training for customers.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges, communicate status updates, and raise issues when necessary.
  • Log impediments, provide feedback to the product team, and improve deployment processes while shaping future product development.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory, SQL databases, and Azure Service Bus.
  • Strong ETL and data pipeline expertise, handling both structured and unstructured data.
  • Hands‑on experience with Jupyter Notebooks for data analysis, modelling, and visualisation.
  • Problem‑solving, configuration, and optimisation mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain solutions to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Customer‑focused mindset, ensuring successful implementations and long‑term value.
  • Experience working in agile environments, delivering projects iteratively.
